camp blogging trouble
We have made it to church camp! We got here about 5pm Friday. We got the camper set up and then we took the kids over to the playground to play. They had a blast! Now I am the mother with the dirty kids! I couldn't believe how dirty the wet wipe was when Greg gave the kids an Airhead and I decided to clean Seth's hands. Wow, It's day one! We were eating supper at the snack stand (no cafateria on the first night) when the sky got dark and the wind picked up. We went back to the camper and Greg pulled up the weather on the net and then we decided that the camper was no place for us. We took cover at Snieder Hall and found out that a tornato had been spotted not far from us. The storm is over now and we are all safe. I wish I would have taken pics of the people takeing cover. I didn't think of it. I just wanted to get to a safe place. This is what I was going to post Friday when I lost connection. When I went to get back on it was changed to needing a pass word. Now I have found another connection but I'm having trouble getting my pics to download. This is the only one that has downloaded and it was taken before camp. I'll try later.

Jet Ski
We bought a jet ski 2nd hand last year and had never taken it out. We took it out yesterday. It was nice because of it being on a Tuesday the lake wasn't very crowded. Greg or I neither one had ever been on a jet ski before and we weren't sure if we would even like it. I had this vision of dumping it in the middle of the boat ramp when Greg pushed me off the trailer but I didn't! It was great! I had a blast! My parents had their boat there too. Megan had told me earlier that she was going to ride the boat. After I took a spin to get use to it I came back to the boat to see if anyone else wanted to try it. Megan wanted to ride. After she rode that first time she wanted to go every time that it went out. She loved it! She's talking about going again after church camp. Greg took it for a spin then came back and took Megan with him. It took Seth a while to get use to the boat. He was very nervous about the whole thing for a little while. While Greg and Dad were loading up the boat Megan and I took another spin and Seth and Grandma were waiting on the dock. I decided to go back and see if Seth wanted to ride. He did! I took him for a cruise and he loved it. I was surprised that he wanted to go. We didn't do anything crazy and we were even more careful when we had the kids. (That's for Grandmom and Grandbear.) We will be careful. We didn't take our camera so these are pics taken from Greg's phone. Greg and Dad were loading up the boat when Seth took a spin so that pic is on mom's phone. I will try to get it and post it later. This week will busy since we will be getting ready for church camp on Friday.

Greg and Megan on a cruise. As you can see we were one of the few people out, so the water wasn't rough. So it was nice for our new adventure.

Swinging
I'm so sorry that I haven't been updating like I should. Things have been so busy for us. Last weekend we had a yard sale. It was the first one that I had since we got married. We mainly just sold kids clothes. Everything was priced to sell. We got rid of a lot of stuff. Now we are getting ready to go to church camp. I am excited about going. It's kind of nice to step out of the real world for a week. We are leaving Friday. I have so much to do before we go. The camper is pretty much ready but I have to get all of our clothes ready. One of the things that I like about taking our camper is that I can pack it and then when we get there I don't really have a lot to do. Everything is already "unpacked." I think I'm getting spoiled. Church camp is much different now that I have a family. I used to be packed in probably about an hour. Now I think about what 3 other people are going to need. Greg helps me out a lot. I think I'll have the net there so maybe I can take some pics of people and post them for everyone. (Mom O'Donnell who is probably crying right now because she can't come this year.) We will miss you and Gram so much. We hope to come out before Grandbear closes the pool!
Here are some pics of Megan pushing Seth. What a good big sister.
We had a party at work with Hawaiian theme. That's where Megan got her lei. WOW! Seth had his on for a while but then decided that he didn't want to have it on anymore.

Father's Day
Happy Father's Day Greg! I just wanted to let you know that I love you. I'm so glad that you are the father to our kids. You are a super dad! I know you put up with a lot. Thank you for all that you do for our kids.

I had to put a "S" and a "M" on Greg's calender so that the kids wouldn't fight over who was going to feed the cats. Today Megan tore off the 14th so that we would be on the 15th with a "M" and she could feed the cat. Too smart.
Lemon meringue pie for Father's Day. This is both Greg and my Dad's favorite pie. They get it maybe once or twice a year. I should do it more often. It's really easy but I just don't.
Meg was eating cookies when I decided to take a pic of her eye. This is what she looks like today. Thank the Lord!!
Happy Father's Day Grandbear! We want you to know that we love you. Thank you for all of the special things that you do to shorten the miles between us. You are a great Dad and Grandpa. Happy Father's Day. Hope to see you soon.
Happy Father's day Dad! Just want you to know that we love you. You are so good to all of us. Thanks for all of the things that you do for us every day. Did you know that we caught this pic of you and Summer. Summer is Teresa's dog. Happy Father's Day!

I got Seth out of the tub and Megan got out by herself. I was impressed when I noticed that she had hung up the washcloths and was letting out the water. She's growing up.
Megan and Daddy mowing grass today.
Full speed ahead.
Seth has been sort of quiet today. I found him reading a book. So Cute!

Pantry Fun
Megan came into the living room and said, "Don't come into the pantry." Of course, the mom in me knew that the pantry was where I needed to go. I noticed that she had white stuff on her face, shirt, and a little on her skirt. Sure enough, when I got in there I noticed the Spackle and paintbrushes. You may have to zoom in to see the wall. I was able to wipe it off.

Sunday 6-8
When we got to church this morning it was hot at church. The AC unit was broke! I pretty much took as much off of the kids that I could get by with but they were still a little fussy. We canceled church this evening to go to a little church camp close to us. We didn't go but I'm sure that it was a good thing for the ones who did because this camp has AC. Today I was getting ready to change Seth's diaper when Megan informed me that she was going to take a pic of it and put it on the blog!! No secrets at this house. Thankfully she was using the old camera that doesn't work anymore. She said, "I got it." She is so full of it. Her face is doing very well. People are surprised when I tell them that she had 12 stitches about 2 weeks ago! I did a video clip of Megan and Seth playing basketball yesterday. Our camera records it to a DVD so I will have to sit down and figure out how to post it. We are scheduled for long days next week to make up for the time that we were without elec. I'm sure that this week is going to be a busy one.

6-4-08
We have had a lot of bad weather the past couple of days. We didn't have electricity for a little while this evening. Our church was canceled also because of no electric.
This is a pic that I just took of Megan. She is looking so good!
Seth wants to do everything that his big sister is doing. So he wanted to get his pic taken too.

New Helmet
Megan took her helmet back to get the next size up today. Here she is with her new one. I think she is more excited about the elbow and knee pads then she is about the helmet.
Here is a close up of her eye. This was taken this evening. I don't know why she has that spaced look. Anyway, under the eye looks so much better.

Bye Bye Curls
Seth received his second hair cut. All of the curls that I loved are gone! I'm thinking that it might thicken up a little now. His hair feels a lot better now. All of the fuzzy hair that our kids have when they do finally get hair is gone. Now he has "real hair" as Greg's Philly barber ,Pete, would say. Megan and I didn't go in with Greg and Seth this time because Greg took him to a real barber. Sort of like a, "Men Only" barber. I wanted to go in but I felt strange so Meg and I went and did what most girls would do. We went shopping. Actually we were still wanting to shop when they were finished. (Just like most girls.) Greg just got him a regular hair cut this time. Maybe when he gets more hair we can give him a flat top or something. Like he needs anything else to make him look ornery.
No curls and still the most handsome little boy every!
FYI.....Meg is continuing to look so much better. She is outside with Greg and Seth right now. (With lots of sun block on.) I will try to get a pic of her this evening and post it. Thank you for your prayers. We think there will be little or no scar!! Thank the Lord!!

Logan update!
Seth and Megan got helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads the day that Megan got her stitches out. We have to take Meg's back. It was the wrong size. Here is Seth posing in his. Check out those chocolate drop eyes! Just like Uncle Paul.
We found out that Megan's friend, Logan, from VA has been having his mom check on our blog to see how Meg is doing. Megan met Logan at Abby's birthday party. He is Abby's cousin. He is older then the girls but he plays so good with them. He would ask them if they wanted to play with them and the kids really like him. Megan still talks about Logan. So Logan.....this is Megan the day that she got her stitches out. She looks better.
This is what she looks like today. She is really looking good. Thank the Lord!! Check out those beautiful blue eyes! Just like Grandmom.

Stitches Removed
Seth has a new summer outfit. I think he looks so cute! My kids have really cute feet! I know, I'm crazy.
Meg had her stitches removed. OK I want my medical blog friends to zoom in and tell me what you think. Megan's Dr was off today so we went to the other pediatrician that is in the group with Dr. Holly. Dr. Holly is who we take the kids to. We love her to pieces. The Dr that we went to today is a husband and wife team. The wife couldn't see very well and the husband has tremors. Not a good thing when you are removing tiny stitches. She ended up catching Meg's cheek with something and I think she pulled it apart a little. I wish so bad that Dr. Holly would have been in today. We will check back with Dr. Holly and see if she thinks that we need to have any other procedures. We pray that she won't but we are planning to do it if that is what it takes for her to not have a scar. Keep her healing in your prayers. The Dr today said that it looked like she might have a scar. I am to use sunscreen with moisturiser in it to keep it from the sun and also keep the scar away. If you compare this pic to the one taken on Sunday you will see a big difference.

Meg's Suprise
Greg told Megan that since she was so good at the hospital that she would get a surprise. He told me that he would get her anything that she wanted. It's OK to say that when the kid is 3 because you about know that it isn't going to cost over $20. I thought about it later and I thought that I should have told her to tell daddy that we want a Mustang convertible! I just thought about it too late. This is what she picked out. It's a Thomas train and station. Seth got a Percy and saw mill. The tracks can link together. They have had a blast with it. This pic was taken on Saturday. Look below and you will see that her face looks a lot better today.
We were baby sitting Summer while my sister in law went to a graduation. We really liked having her around. Summer is the first animal that Aunt Anna has allowed to stay in the house. Here she is getting a ride in Meg's stroller. She is a good dog. Our cats didn't like her but I don't like the cats. We didn't ask for the cats. They have just appeared. I think it's about time to get rid of them.

New Baby Dress
Megan and her baby have matching dresses. I think they look so cute! This is the first pic that I have posted of Megan since she had her accident. It is looking a lot better. We still have a ways to go though. Keep her in your prayers. It makes me so sad to see her like this. I can't wait until it's over with.

This is Megan and Seth after church this morning. I love Seth's hair. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get those curls cut off.

Megan's update
Megan is doing much better. She has only had to take medicine one time for pain. She told me today that it was tickling. It must be healing. Thank the Lord! I met a woman in the check out line this morning. She informed me that she was an ER nurse and she said that the stitches were nice and little. She thought that it looked good. I was glad to hear that. Today was the last day that we were to put the medicine on it. Now we just have to keep it dry. Keep her in your prayers. We are still thankful that it wasn't in her eye. We are to take her to the peds on Tuesday to get the stitches out. We hope for good news then.

Megan stitches
We got home Wednesday around 6:45 pm. It was good to be home. To make a long story short, Megan was in the garage with her daddy a knocked some shelving over on her. She got a cut just below her eye. We rushed her to ER. She got 12 stitches! It was terrible. They didn't put her out to put them in. She was saying, "Help me mommy, They're hurting me." She was saying it in this little sad voice. I just made me so sad I felt like crying. She did really good. She is supposed to get the stitches out Tuesday. Please help us pray that she doesn't get a scar. We have already decided that we are going to get it taken care of if she does have a scar. The cut is about a half inch or an inch below her eye. The Dr. said that I was really good with Megan and said that I was a lot of help. That made me feel a little comfort. We just thank the Lord that it didn't get her eye. Keep us in your prayers.
