Sick AGAIN

I am sick AGAIN. I was at work yesterday and I couldn't hardly talk. That makes it a little hard to answer the phone. The word was getting out that I couldn't talk so when one person called they just said, "Don't talk, just listen." I was given the information needed and we were on our way. I was able to use email where I would have normally just picked up the phone. My friend said that she was just filling in the blanks. I'm thinking that Greg is enjoying the peace and quiet. Just remember, I will get it back then watch out! Megan was showing some signs of the same thing so I took her to the Dr. today to see if we could head it off but no such luck. She talked like Megan and Seth will probably both get it that it was viral. She did give me information on how to help with the symptoms. Oh well, we are planning another weekend family outing in a couple of weeks. I'm just glad this happened now instead of then.

Truck from Uncle Kevin

Seth received this truck from Uncle Kevin (Greg's brother) for Christmas. He played with it a little after that and then it got placed in the toy box. I came across it the other day when I was looking for something else and I thought that he would really like it now. I was right. This thing has three buttons on top. Each button makes the headlight come one but one button has a motor sound, one makes the horn beep like the panic button on a remote, but the one he likes the most is the one that rocks with music. He has had a blast with this truck. I have thought so much about how different our kids are. Megan is so into the girl thing and Seth is ALL boy. We have been stepping over dolls, purses, and pom poms for a while but now we have added cars, trucks, balls, and more cars and trucks. Those things are everywhere! I still LOVE my job as mom. It's the best!
Thank you Uncle Kevin!

Busy Day With Kids

Today Greg had to take off work to take care of some business. He had mom take care of the kids for just about an hour and then he took over again. As you can tell from the pics it looked liked Mr. Mom had everything under control. I worked until noon and met them for lunch then we all came home. Megan has been wanting to make "shakers." Today was the special day! Here is Seth working on his shaker.

Megan decorating her shaker.
"With a shake shake here and a shake shake there.
Shake, shake, shake.
Check out Meg's hair. Daddy did it! WOW!
Megan is in to making signs and posting them all around the house. This one is on the pantry door and it says, "Pantry, Uncle Rodney made this for Daddy and Mommy." There is one on the bathroom door and it says something about messing your pants. I didn't really want to post that message in detail.

Seth can now go up and down the steps on foot instead of crawling. We tell them to hold on to the rails no matter what.
Megan and Seth were in need of summer P.J.'s. Greg went shopping today and picked up a few for them. Meg was so excited about getting new "Comfies." She took the bags into the living room and started going through them. She decided that she was tired and wanted to get ready for bed. It was 3 in the afternoon.
As you can see, it's daylight out and Megan has on her new p.j.'s.
Seth was so excited when he found out that Daddy had picked up some more bananna's. He loves them and we had ran out of them.

Camper and Dora

After Greg and Megan got the camper washed he decided to see if he knew how to put up the new screen house that he bought last year. It was really easy to put up even with the "help" that we had.
If you zoom in you'll see a chick looking out the window.
Megan got up the other morning, came into the living room, and wanted me to come and check something out. She wanted me to see that she had made her bed all by herself! I didn't even tell her too! A moment when you feel like your getting somewhere as a parent. By the way, Dora Rocks at our house!

Water Fun

The weather has been beautiful the past few days. The kids have been outside a lot. Dad and Paul came down one day while we were at work and moved the old swing set down to my parents house. We had been wanting to do this for a while but hadn't got around to it. It is nice to get it out of the yard and it also gives the kids something else to do at Grandma's house. They are still enjoying playing in the sandbox. Today Greg and Megan are washing down the camper while Seth is taking a nap. It was really getting dirty. It is starting to look so much better. I'm sure that as soon as Seth gets up he will be out to help. Here is Megan getting Daddy with the water hose!
She is starting to get the camera person!
Now Daddy has the hose and she's on the run!

Dinner for Two

We are getting big enough to eat all by ourselves.
Seth saying, "Cheese," and Megan doing what she like to a lot of times when we take her pic.
Megan in Seth's chair. Megan has one too but sometimes they choose each others chair.
Seth you are soooo cute!!

Bears and Sand

Megan and Seth had both been given a new bear by a lady from the motel where we stayed at. One was blue and the other was brown. Well on the way home Megan wanted us to go back and get a brown bear. I told her that she had several brown bears and that we would find her a brown bear. I didn't look very hard. I just picked up the few that I came upon. As you can tell, the O'Donnell cubs are in good shape when it comes to brown bears.

Megan and Seth enjoying the sand box.
Are those sun glasses or sand goggles?
Cheese it up!

Happy Anniversary

Greg and I had a great time last night at the Colingsworth Concert. Mom came by and picked up the kids and Greg and I headed to Florance to Cracker Barrell. Everything was good. We left there and went to Meijers to pick up some sand box toys for the kids. We had just got the cover for the sand box on the kids new play area and so Greg got sand and put into it. They had a few toys for it but we wanted to get them a few more. After that we had thought about going to the mall for a little bit but was afraid that we would run short on time so we just headed toward the concert. We arrived in plenty of time. In fact, the doors weren't open yet when we got there. The weather was nice so it was no big deal to wait outside. While we were waiting outside a squirrel came running down the steps and scarred me half to death. All I could think of was Ray Stevens and his, "Mississippi Squirrel." The concert was great. They were actually filming so it was kind of neat to see them stop and say, "We need to do that again." It made you view them as plain old people like us. I'm sure the Salary is a little different. Anyway, we had a great time and it was great to spend an evening with this wonderful man that the Lord blessed me with. Love you Greg!

IHC

I went to IHC on Thursday. Mom, Dad, Megan, Seth and I went. I had a good time. It was a little different not having Greg with me. Actually, it was a lot different. Again, I don't realize how much he helps out until I go by myself. I was talking to my sister in law and when I got ready to leave I told Megan to get back in the stroller and she did. Well, my brother stopped to talk to me and after that I took off again. I got over to my mom and she said, "Where's Megan?" She wasn't in the stroller. I STRESSED OUT!!!! I gave mom the stroller and told her to watch Seth. I went back to where I had been with Paul and Dorine and she wasn't there. I thought, "do I have security lock the doors, what do I do?" Then I pick up the good old cell phone. I called Dorine and the first thing she said was, "Megan's with me." It was then that I started crying. That was the worst that that had happened to me in a while.

5 years

This weekend is our Anniversary. As Grannie would say, "5 beautiful years and never a cross word." I am really happy that Greg and I are together. I has been a great 5 years. We are going to dinner(first Anniversary Dinner without kids) and then we have tickets to see The Colingsworth Family in Cincinnati. We actually thought about taking the kids but it sounds like it's going to be a long concert and I don't think the kids are ready for that yet. Greg I want you to know that your a super husband and a great father to our kids. Love you and looking forward to our date!

Laundry

Sometimes Greg will help me with the laundry. (A task that I hate.) I had mentioned to him that Megan's Easter dress could be washed but you couldn't put it in the dryer. I was very impressed when I went into the master bathroom and found the dress hanging here drying. Am I lucky or what? Greg, your the best! Love ya.

Whoop it up

When we got home this evening from the grocery it was almost 10:30. I was getting ready to get Megan out of her car seat and she said, "I want to have a party and whoop it up!" I about cracked up. So here is the Coke party that we had. She has been wanting to drink out of a glass coke bottle and tonight was the big night to "Whoop it Up!"
Here is Seth at the "Whoop it up" party.
