Conversation with a 4 year old

Last night I had a conversation with Megan. Check this out.......

Megan: "I like your skirt." (I had on a new outfit.)
Mommy: "Thank you."
Megan: "Where did you get it?"
Mommy: "Cato."
Megan: "Peebles doesn't have anything like that."
Mommy: "Your right about that. Would you like a skirt like this?"
Megan: "I saw one on eVay but I don't know if I'm going to get it or not." (That would be eBay.)

Our 4 year old is like talking to an adult sometimes. I love my kids! Seth has been throwing his arms wide open lately to let you know that he wants a big hug. How cute is that?!

McCain Palin

Too good to pass up. The O'Donnell's are on the campaign trail.

Megan has hooked up to the jet ski. Greg had to remind her about the last time that she hooked up to something in the garage that she ended up going to the hospital and getting 12 stitches. Oh, that was explained after I took the pic.

Little Feet

I went shopping to look for some casual shoes for Seth. When we walked into the shop the lady asked me if I needed the kids' feet measured. Megan is doing good on shoes right now but I decided to go ahead and get Meg's feet measured too in case I found something on sale. She measured Seth at 8 1/2 and Megan at 9! I found this interesting since there is about 2 years between them. It is hard to see from the pics but the lady mentioned that Seth has wider feet. We actually have a hard time finding shoes to fit him because they are so thick. I didn't have any luck either. The lady also told me that they are cutting back on their inventory. I noticed it in other shops too. Anyone have suggestions where I can find casual boy shoes?
Here is a pic with Seth on the left and Megan on the right. Cute!

Go Phillies!

When we went back to Philly this summer we picked up these shirts for the kids. Greg is very excited that the Phillies are doing so well. I'm a Reds girl but I'm happy to know that the Phillies are doing well. The kids are saying cheese but we could say that they are saying Phillies!
Seth hanging out. I forgot to post this. This happened a week or so ago. Megan decided to help mommy out. It was great! She started loading up the dishwasher for me. Greg was monitoring her. I felt like I needed to pinch myself to see if this was really happening to me. Here I was folding laundry and getting my dishes done at the same time. She has really started helping out a lot. She loves to help cook.

Greg and I were sitting on the couch when Seth came bringing in the huge 32oz Poweraide bottle. It looked really big next to our little guy. It was some time later when I walked into the utility room on found the refrigerator door hanging open. This is the refrigerator that we put our drinks in. Imagine that!
The kids were invited to a Halloween party. The woman who organizes it is someone that we work with. She does this to encourage kids to go here instead of going trick-or-treating. It was really geared toward young kids. Our kids had a good time. They played games, won prizes, went trick-or-treating through a village, and ate popcorn. When we got ready to leave to go there Megan wanted a drink so I went back in the house and got the kids a drink and got a Diet Code Red for me and a Code Red for Greg. (Code Red is a Mountain Dew for those areas that might not have it.) Well everyone drank all of their drinks except me. When we left the party we had picked up popcorn on our way out the door. Well, you guessed it, the kids got thirsty. We were in the country so there was no place to get drinks so I gave Seth some of my CODE RED! Greg reminded me that Megan had won a drink in her ring toss. I got her drink out of the bag only to find that it was, "Mountain Lightening." (A type of Mountain Dew.) I didn't give her the whole can but they both were wired for a while. Crazy!
Megan was a princess. You can't tell, but Seth is a monkey. The face of the monkey is sort of far back on his head. They both were very cute.
The kids will probably still go trick-or-treating but we only go to a few house of people that we know so this was something extra for them.

Busy

Wow, what a week. We were in revival all this week so things got a little busy. After working all day, coming home, eating, ironing clothes and getting everyone ready for church we didn't have time to do too much.
The election has been a hot item around our house. I thought it was really funny when about two days after we put up our McCain - Palin sign in our yard our neighbor put up his Democrat signs! I didn't realize how much our Megan was listening until mom told me that while they were driving by our neighbors house that Megan said, "He's got an Obauma sign!" She was also talking about Sara Palin but I didn't catch what she said.
Another Meg story: Last night she wanted to go forward at church during the invitation. It was the first time for her. I was very proud of her. Greg said that Seth wanted to go up too but he wanted to take an arm load of cars and trains with him. Greg made him wait until everyone was invited to gather around and then he brought Seth up too. (With his trains.) I hope their hearts stay tender.
Hopefully everything slows down this week. The kids are looking forward to Halloween. Megan is going to be a princess. I had pick up a tiger outfit for Seth but I chose a size too small so I am going to have to take it back. I'm not sure what he is going to be now. We are going to have to think fast because we have a kids party that the kids have been invited to this weekend. Small stuff. I'm not really worried about it.
