Happy 3rd Birthday
Today our little guy is turning 3! Happy Birthday Seth! Time is flying. He is growing so fast. We are planning a party for both of our kids when Greg's family comes in from Philly next weekend. But we wanted to do something with him tonight. After work Greg, Megan, Seth, and I went to Chuckie Cheese. Our kids had never been there before. They had a blast. Chuckie Cheese himself came out and delivered Seth's Birthday cake to him. Seth gave him high five and had his pic taken with him. I didn't have the camera with me so I just have phone pics. It really wasn't anything planned. We were just going to take them out this eve and ended up going there. What a great choice. This is a pic of Seth when he was about 3 mos I think. Does he look cool or what. Seth we are so glad that God gave us such a special little boy. We love you so much. Happy Birthday little buddy. Love you, Daddy, Mommy, & Megan.

Sick
Ok, I think I can officially say that our whole family is now sick. The allergies are going wild in our house. Megan was the first one. We took her to the Dr and he said that she has Asama. Allergies trigger the Asama. She is on some med as well as an inhaler. She is doing better now. Greg and I both have the allergy thing going on. Seth woke up on Sunday morning with a barking cough I know that Dr Holly won't be in on Monday. He doesn't seem to have it as bad as the rest of us.

Seth
I have to share a couple of cute things that Seth has said this week. I couldn't sleep one morning that I had to sleep in so I got up and did a little house work. I decided to make the pie that had been promised to Greg for quite a while. As I was working in the kitchen Seth woke up and came in. I put him up on the bar stool so that he could watch me. I had loaded up the dishwasher but I had a pan that I was going to wash by hand. I started to run water on the pan......
Seth -"You wash the pan?"
Me - "yes."
I put soap on the pan......
Seth - "You use soap?"
Ok, this is what is funny. When we send the kids to go wash their hands upon returning Greg always ask them if they use soap. Megan always laughs at Greg for always asking this question. Well, I'm standing there at the sink thinking, "if I mention to Seth that he is acting like daddy asking my if i used soap on the pan is he really going to make the connection and think it is funny?" Well, while I'm thinking this he says, "I daddy, You use soap." He had already made the connection before I had the chance to decide if he could or not.
The other time happened at church. We were listening to the sermon and we had a family that had to leave early. So part way through the sermon they got up and left the service. Seth wanted to know what they were doing and why they were leaving. I told him that maybe they were sick. Seth looked at me and said, "I sick too!" Anything to get out of church.
You might not think these stories are funny but they are just a couple of the many things that happen at our house.

Philly Summer 2009
We went to Philly last week. We had a great time. I always have a nice time there but I think this time was the best. It was so relaxing. We went swimming in the pool and just hung out. We had cheese steaks 2 times. Wonderful! Greg's parents had just got a new living room suit. It was really nice. Gram and I kept having recliner parties. We got to spend a lot of time with Uncle Kevin. The kids love Uncle Kevin. He let them help him play the guitar. They loved that. He even gave Megan a pick for her pink guitar at home. How cool is that?! We drive through the night so the kids will sleep during the 10 hour trip. Megan was so excited going out that she was probably awake for 5 of the 10 hours. On the way home, she got sick so we stopped and got a hotel and finished the next day. We were able to attend Aunt MaryJo and Uncle Art's 50th Wedding anniversary. It was really nice. We went to the church for a ceremony, then we went to a really nice luncheon, and then to Aunt MaryJo's house for an open house. I wish I would have got a piece of that tomato pie but I had already had to much to eat at the luncheon. Well, Grandbear and Grandmom we had a great time. I'm so glad that we got to come. We love you guys. We are looking forward to seeing you next month for the birthday party! Hope it works out.

Greg's Birthday
Yesterday was Greg's birthday. I got this of the kids singing to Greg. Seth was singing, "Happy Birthday to you," all day yesterday. It has carried over into today also. He is right now singing,"Happy Birthday to Gregory." We had a good time. We had spent the weekend at my brother Rodney's house. We had a great time. Trenton's band was marching in a parade and we went up to watch him. His band is really good. Trenton and Benjamin both play the trumpet in church so we got to hear them both on Sunday. It was a nice short trip. Our kids love Trenton and Benjamin and the boys love them too.
Happy Birthday Greg. We love you. Hope you had a good day.

Blogging guilt
My father-in-law sent me an email saying how much he enjoyed the blog and thanked me for the time that I put into it. I felt bad because I have been a terrible blogger lately. As you can see, Seth has his new Thomas bike. Megan got a Barbie bike but I guess I haven't taken a pic of her with her new bike yet. Her's is the next size up! So this is for you Grandbear. Enjoy.

Father's Day
What a nice day! The kids got a card for Greg that they could record a message to him on. He really liked it. They also got him a travel mug that he could put their pic in. (Done) They got him a thing to hold a pint of ice cream. It says "I love ice cream" on the front. Here they are eating ice cream and celebrating Father's Day. Greg you are a great Dad. We love you.
I'm sorry that it has been so long since I blogged. Things have been crazy at our house. We did go camping with Rodney and his family. I love spending time with them. Our kids love them and we always have a great. The kids had a blast riding bikes. We went out on the boat and jet ski. That was fun too. It was Trenton's Birthday. He turned 15. Rodney and Melinda are blessed to have a 15 year old who acts like Trenton. They don't have any trouble out of him.
I zoomed in on Greg, Megan, & Seth across the campground. So much fun. We will be getting ready for church camp this week but I hope to get another update soon. We had a yard sale last weekend. We told the kids that if they would sell their bikes that they could get new ones. They did and went and got new ones. I will try to get pics of them to post.

50th Anniversary
This year will be Mom and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary. We are planning a celebration for them. It will take place at Brushy Fork Baptist Church, Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 1:00. Any of you who are interested in attending leave a comment and I will take care of getting the details to you. We have invitations, however, after 50 years we have a lot of people to cover. I don't want to miss anyone who might want to share in this special day. It was going to be a surprise but it didn't work out that way. We are planning a luncheon so just let us know if you are planning to attend.

Miss Annabell's
I had found out through my cousin's blog about Miss Annabell's tea room. I went to the website and thought that it would be a great place to take Megan and my mom for Mother's day! So I made the reservations (cost a little more then Wendy's) and we went. I was right, we had a blast. We had a fun & relaxing two hours. No cell phones, no to go orders, Just people kicked back with friends and family sipping from china tea cups and having a fun tea party. I only took a pic of one wall but they had hats all over the place for you to put on for your party. (yea I thought of head lice too.) But we used them and I think we are fine. Megan & I picked out a hat for Mom. Red with a big feather out the top. Grandma didn't really like it but she wore it anyway. Now my mom really likes hats so at the end we were all digging in a big chest and mom was going down memory lane and try on hats that were a lot like the ones that she use to wear. Thank you Mom and Megan for a great day out! You guys are the greatest! I love you. Happy Mother's day!

Weekend in TN
Here are some pics of our weekend trip that we took to TN. We had a really good time. I was playing the piano in a revival for a church (not ours) that ended on Saturday night. After the service we headed for TN. We had a cabin that we rented. That is where you will see the kids standing on their heads and playing in the hot tub. (An all time favorite thing for TN) We also went to Dollywood where Megan was tall enough to ride the cars all by herself! That is where the big Corn dogs came from and the slush drinks. We went to the apple barn to eat. The kids really like it. On Sunday we attended the Chapel where Daniel used to pastor. Everyone was so friendly and several told us how much they missed Daniel and Teresa. Daniel really misses them too. We got to do a little bit of shopping. ( I love the Children's Place outlet) I found the kids quite a few things. They are really growing out of clothes so it was nice to find things cheaper then what you would pay a Goodwill! Oh, I didn't get a pic but we also took the kids on Go Carts. Meg went with me and Seth with Greg. It was a blast! Meg and I want to go again. Well, we had a good time and I was not ready to come home. I can't wait to go back. We have Dollywood passes so we plan to go back.

Papaw's Truck
My dad has an old truck that he uses as a work/putt around truck. My kids love papaw's truck. If they get to ride somewhere in it, they love it. While I was getting ready for work this morning (about 4:15 am) Megan and Seth were both awake and talking about papaw's truck. Here is how the conversation went. You gotta love it!
Me: "Why do you like papaw's truck?"
Megan: "Because of the buttons next to the gear shift." (I'm thinking... "It's a 92 with not a lot of options so I doubt there would be too many buttons.")
Me: "What else do you like about it?"
Megan: "I like the way you turn the handle and the window goes down." (Ok, now I'm about to lose it.)
Megan: "I also like the color - red." By this time I can't get past the kid being impressed by crank down windows.

Day Out
Yesterday, Greg watched the kids while my mom and I had a day out shopping. We had lunch together and went to the mall. It was really nice. I missed my little family but it was nice to shop without interruptions. I was looking for Easter outfits for the kids. I'm trying to find a yellow outfit for Meg. She is into Bell the princess. I didn't find anything:( I have found several cute things for Seth but I want to get Megan one first because it seems like her outfit is going to be the hard one and then match Seth to her. My plans are to get pics taken again. If you remember the last time we had a photo shoot Seth wanted nothing to do with it. Maybe we'll have better luck this time. I was also looking for another pair of Thomas the Tank Engine rain boots. Seth really likes his but they are just getting too small. His are 6's and he needs at least 7 maybe 8. No luck there either. Anyway we had a great time. I woke up about 4am this morning sooo sick. I thought that it was something that I ate. No such luck. I have the flue. yuck! I'm home by myself now. Greg has taken the kids to moms for Sunday dinner. (Thank God for mom!) Seth was sick with it from Tues - Sat. Now I know how the poor little guy felt. Pray that Meg and Greg don't get it.

New Scarfs
We had a very exciting thing happen the other day. Megan and Seth received scarfs in the mail from Aunt Clare! They were so excited about it. They were just the right size and looked great on. Megan called her on the phone to thank her and had quite a long conversation with her. Thank you Aunt Clare. You are special!
Valentine Fun
Things have been very busy around here. I wanted to post a few pics to catch everyone up on what has been going on at the O'Donnell house. We did end up getting a lot of snow. I was very happy. We thought it was pretty much over with but we did get a little more today. We went out for Valentine's day. We had a good time. Greg and I both wanted to take the kids with us so we did. We went to Cracker Barrell.

Snow
We finally got enough snow to talk about. Our county is on a level 1 for a state of emergency. This means that we are not allowed on the road unless it is an emergency.
We had some snow then we got ice and then more snow. It was tough to walk in. Seth wasn't out too much.
We went snow tubing at the ski slops. We had a blast! I can't wait to go back. We had Seth with us at first but half way down the hill he started crying and cried all the way to the bottom. He spent a lot of time with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Teresa in the snack shop. He enjoyed playing with his trains and eating M&M's. He loves playing with Papaw so he was fine.
Here is Seth at the fire pit after his first (and last) trip down the hill and before he headed to the snack shop.
Megan had a blast. We were there for 2 hours. She stayed right with it. They had snow on the walk ways so after we got to the bottom of the hill I would pull her tube over to the conveyor. I would just pull her tube and all on the conveyor after we got to the top I pulled her over to the hill and then down we would go again. It was different then when we would go when we were kids. We didn't land in a creek, run into sticker bushes, or hit a fence or tree! We also didn't have to walk back up the hill!!!
